Michigan native and Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee is tying the knot Saturday at the Inn at Bay Harbor. Sheâ??s using local vendors to create her dream wedding.
â??I think the attention that it's giving all of us, as a whole, is going to impact the region,â?? said Jennifer Haf, owner of Bloom Floral Design.
Jennifer designed Gingerâ??s flowers. She says they are going with an all white theme including roses and baby's breath, but a surprise will be added tomorrow.
â??We have a modern twist happening,â?? said Jennifer. â??It is weather related. There's all sorts of weather undertones happening with her design.â??
The cake is also white. Ginger wanted it to look homemade, so it will be a simple, three tiered cake with a butter crème frosting. The cake was designed by Jessica Stubbs and she says her business has already grown since booking Gingerâ??s wedding.
â??I've gotten several Cakes from it already, and I got the rehearsal dinner,â?? said Jessica Stubbs, owner of Simply Sweet by Jessica. â??So it's already been great for that. I think we're just going to get even busier up here.â??
Bay Harbor is keeping the exact location of the ceremony under wraps, because it is a high profile wedding,
"We will have heightened security beginning Saturday morning and the only guests we will be allowed in and out of the hotel are resort lodging guests who are staying with us for the weekend," said Erin Ernst, Bay Harbor Director of Communications.
The rehearsal dinner is taking place Friday night at Bay Harbor. The ceremony will be Saturday afternoon with a reception to follow at the Inn at Bay Harbor.
