An 11-year-old girl was killed with tubing with friends on Hubbard Lake in Alcona County Saturday afternoon.
According to the Sheriff, Autumn Prohaska was riding an inner tube that was being pulled by a boat with two friends when their tube collided with a stationary jet ski.
" As the two vessels started to pass each other that's when the raft holding the kids collided with the jet ski," Alcona County Sheriff's Deputy Scott McKenzie said.
The children were thrown from the tube on impact and Autumn was killed.
The two other children, age 8 and 14, escaped with minor injuries.
The Sheriff says alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing. Officials are unsure at this point whether charges will be filed.
A visitation will be held at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday. Click here for more details.
