A 13-year-old girl is dead and two others were injured after a car crash in Osceola County, and deputies say the driver of that vehicle fled on foot after the crash.
The accident happened Friday around 3pm on 20th Avenue near 21 Mile Road in Marion Township.
After following leads officers were able to find the suspected driver Saturday morning in Clare County.
Deputies say the 21-year-old Osceola County woman broke into a home, and when deputies surrounded the house in Clare County, she surrendered without incident. She was later taken to the Osceola County Jail where she was booked on several charges including manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
A 13-year-old girl that was a passenger in the car was listed in critical condition at the time of the accident and was airlifted to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The other passenger, a 12-year-old girl, was taken to Munson Medical Center where she was treated and released.
The accident is still under investigation.
