High pressure over the Great Lakes region gives us great weather for Monday.
Grab the sunscreen and the sunglasses - we'll see a ton of sun Monday!
High temperatures will be in the low 70s in the E. U.P., with mid 70s to around 80 degrees in the L.P. Wind will be out of the northeast at 5-15mph for most, but expect it to pick up in the southern counties in the afternoon (10-20mph, gusts to 30mph possible).
If you're in the Traverse City area and headed to the Cherry Festival - expect 60s in the morning, with the sun warming us into the upper 70s in the afternoon. Winds will be out of the NE at about 5-10mph throughout the day. A few fair weather clouds move through in the afternoon. If you're staying for the evening festivities, expect temps in the low 70s until about 9pm - then dropping into the upper 60s, hitting 60 near midnight, with mostly clear skies.
Our next system will bring the chance of rain to the L.P. Tuesday afternoon, and the chance will linger into Wednesday and Thursday. As of now, we'll still have a lot of sunshine and warm temps those days - the chance for rain is small, so it won't ruin most daytime plans.
