A brief cool down before warm weather returns
Sun, 13 Jul 2014 19:55:03 GMT —
Behind a system passing through the Great Lakes region Sunday, northern Michigan will see much cooler weather before warmth returns to end the week.
Sunday afternoon and evening weâ??ll have a cold front cross through the mitten, behind which weâ??ll see temperatures drop to start the workweek.
The jet stream will take a dip down over the eastern half of the United States, bringing down cold Canadian air - making us cool on Monday, and giving us a particularly chilly Tuesday.
Highs Monday will be in the mid and upper 60s, while Tuesday they drop to around 60 degrees â?? normal highs this time of year should be in the upper 70s to about 80.
Weâ??ll also have scattered showers Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday starts the bounce back towards normal, and gives us the return of more sunshine. We get back up around 70 Thursday, hitting the mid 70s and low 80s by the weekend.
