Adoption options: Finding your new 'furry friend'
NORTHERN MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) -- Looking for a new best friend? Well, the animals below are looking for you too! Every Friday we will feature some very special dogs and cats that might steal your heart!
Say hello to Pancho and Gaucho!
Pancho and Gaucho are two little pit bull puppies who are working hard on their potty training.
They would be so happy to have a home for the holidays!
If you would like to meet Pancho and Gaucho to see if they are a fit for your family, call Great Lakes Humane Society in Leelanau County at 231-846-8293.
Ese is a two year old American Pit Bull terrier mix who is looking for his forever home!
Ese is very well behaved but does get a little excited and tends to pull on his leash during walks, because he's a guy who believes there's something he may be missing out on if he doesn't get there first! :) No worries though - he comes with a free training class when he gets adopted and there will be some handy tips on how to correct this!
Ese is used to being the only dog, but should you have another dog that will be sharing space, you can have a little 'meet and greet' to see how they get along. Ese does have a healthy dog's interest in cats, which means he likes to chase them.
Ese has his paws crossed he will find the perfect family to love!
If you would like to meet Ese and see if he is a fit for your family, contact Little Traverse Bay Humane Society in Harbor Springs. You can find them online by clicking here or give them a call at: 231-347-2396.
Say hello to Clooney!
Clooney was named after George Clooney by shelter staff because they said he is also a "silver fox"!
Clooney is 10 years old and is very gentle, calm and loves to snuggle. Clooney has been diagnosed as FIV+ which means he can't be around other cats and needs to be an indoors only kitty.
If you would like to meet this handsome cat - stop in at the Cherryland Humane Society in Traverse City. You can call the shelter at: 231-946-5116.
Say hello to Taz and Harley!
Taz and Harley are currently living at the veterinary clinic where they were dropped off by the family of their deceased owner.
Taz is a 9-year-old neutered male and Harley is a 7-year-old neutered male. They are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. They are very sweet and affectionate and can go to any type of home as long as there are lots of love and warm laps to go around.
If you have room in your home and heart for these loving boys contact the new nonprofit in East Jordan Just Cats. The organization is also looking for foster homes if you can help! You can call 231-674-5261 for more details.
