A 39-year-old Alpena man was arrested Saturday after a two and a half hour standoff with police.
Officers were called to a home on West Alfred Street shortly after 5 p.m. to investigate a person who was reportedly making threatening remarks.
When officers got to the house to talk to the man he locked himself inside the house and refused to cooperate.
Police say he also threatened to burn down the house rather than surrender.
The man was arrested after he tried to run from the house.
He was later treated at Alpena Regional Medical Center.
The suspect??s name is not being released at this time. Police say charges are pending.
