An Antrim County deputy, who was charged in July for stealing from a home while on-duty, was arraigned in Jackson County on a different charge.
Michael Bingham, 30, was arraigned in Jackson County on Aug. 8 on one count of 4th degree criminal sexual conduct. His next court date in Jackson County is scheduled for Aug 15.
Bingham's charges in Jackson County stem from his theft investigation in Mancelona. Bingham will be in Antrim County for a preliminary hearing for the charges of obstruction of justice and larceny in a building on Aug.14.
Bingham's case is moving forward to trial and the Circuit Court ordered the appointment of a special prosecutor to take over the case.
Bingham has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of his cases.
