Beitner Road partially closed to clean up fuel spill
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A road in Grand Traverse County is partially closed as crews work to clean up after a tanker spilled nearly six thousand gallons of fuel.
The east bound lane of Beitner Road from River Road to Chums Corner is shut down until Friday at about 5 p.m.
The Department of Environmental Quality, and Northern A-1, a waste disposal company, is working to remove the contaminated soil, and replace it with clean soil.
This is coming after fuel spilled during a crash on Christmas Eve.
