Bestselling author Mitch Albom announces new book during Cherry Festival
Book lovers had the special privilege of meeting famous author and Michigan native Mitch Albom Tuesday evening at the City Opera House in Traverse City.
The sold out event presented by the National Writers Series and the National Cherry Festival kicked off at 7pm.
Known for his books, "The Time Keeper" and "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", the Michigan native announced his latest book titled, "The First Phone Call From Heaven", which will be in stores this November.
Albom said his latest book is about a small town on Lake Michigan. He said this is the first book he has written that was based in Northern Michigan.
