A weekend boat crash landed a Newaygo man in hot water.

According to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Department, the crash occurred on Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. on the Muskegon River near Parker's Landing. Authorities say the boat driven by the 50-year-old Newaygo man crashed into a stationary fishing boat at a "high rate of speed."
