Body found near Green Lake identified
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Michigan State Police released the name of the man found on Green Lake Tuesday night.
The body of Marc Ruben, 62 of Farmington Hills, was found in a snowbank 10 feet from Karlin Road near the drive that leads to the Green Lake public boat launch.
Fishermen found Ruben's body and called 911 around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Troopers suspect drugs are involved but are awaiting a toxicology report.
An autopsy was performed and there was no sign of trauma or assault.
While Michigan State troopers were at the boat launch, deputies with Grand Traverse County responded to a medical call at a home near the boat launch.
According to the sheriff's department, the 911 alert came in through text saying a 32-year-old man was having seizures, breathing, but "not responding right."
A woman at the home had been with the deceased victim earlier in the day.
"During their investigation it was learned that a vehicle owned by the deceased was located at this residence," said Sgt. Scott McManus of the MSP.
The woman was arrested on unrelated charges and taken to the Grand Traverse County Jail.
