The body of a 41-year-old Queen's Cup race participant from Milwaukee was found in a boat cabin in Grand Haven early Saturday morning, according to Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.

Officers from the department responded to the Grand Haven Municipal Marina around 4:51 a.m. Saturday to reports of a medical emergency. Upon their arrival, the body was found in a boat registered in the race. Race participants tried to resuscitate the man, but were unsuccessful.

Police don't expect foul play nor is the death race or sailing related. An autopsy is pending and officials are notifying next of kin.
