Bond set at a quarter of a million dollars for Wendy's robbery suspect
Bond has been set at $250,000 dollars for Aubrey Rye, 50, the man arrested for robbing the Wendy's restaurant in Interlochen Sunday night.
Police reports say a Rye entered the business and told employees that he was robbing the restaurant. Police say he implied he had a weapon and demanded money. He left the business on foot with an unknown amount of money and threatened to kill employees if they followed him or called the police.
After talking to witnesses and looking at evidence, investigators were led to a residence in Interlochen where they arrested Rye.
Rye who according to state records has an extensive criminal record is expected to be charged in Grand Traverse County District Court Wednesday morning on charges of armed robbery.
Rye is being held in the Grand Traverse County Jail.
