Staff at McLaren Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey celebrated the opening of their newly renovated cancer treatment center on Tuesday evening.
Work on the Karmanos Cancer Institute began three months ago. The improvements were made possible by a half of million dollar private donation for renovations of the cancer treatment wing.
As part of the McLaren's partnership with the Karmanos Institute, they will be able to provide new treatments to patients.
The Karmanos Cancer Institute became a part of McLaren Medical in October and see nearly 1,000 new patients every year.
