Cheboygan schools locked down after threat of a gun, deputies find no threat
Cheboygan Middle and High Schools were put on lockdown after a report of a gun on campus.
Cheboygan School Superintendent Mark Dombroski said a middle school student reported seeing someone with a gun in the parking lot.
The lockdown happened at 3:20 pm after most of the students had gone home.
Some parents and students were still at school attending after school activities. and lockdown procedures were followed.
Dombroski says Cheboygan County Sheriff's Department was called to the school but could not find any evidence of the threat.
Deputies are expected to review security tapes from cameras outside the building in the coming days.
