Children's House celebrates expansion with ribbon cutting
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mi (WPBN/WGTU)-- After seven months of expansion work, a new wing inside the Children's House in Traverse City is officially open.
The new 2,200 square foot addition will include classroom space, tutoring rooms and office space for teachers.
School leaders say the space was desperately needed to accommodate their growing upper elementary school program.
"We've had such great people working on the project and it's all been on time," said Michele Shane, Head of School. "To watch the children get the chance to see a building from the first shovel in the ground all the way to it's completion is just really a wonderful experience and we're really excited to move in and start living in the space."
The students and staff will officially begin using the space when they return to school in the New Year.
