Chippewa County man arrested for alleged sexual assault of child
CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man was arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a minor in Chippewa County.
William Mastaw, 19 of Kinchelow, was arrested and arraigned on Thursday.
Mastaw was charged with three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of producing child sexually abusive material, three counts of using a computer in commission of a felony, three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of accosting a minor for immoral purposes.
A report was made to the Chippewa County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday about a sexual assault on a minor.
An investigation identified Mastaw as a suspect and led to the search of a Chippewa County home, deputies said.
The assault were reported to have been over an extended period of time at multiple locations, deputies said.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing to ensure there were no other victims.
