An absolutely gorgeous Friday is in store for Northern Michigan.
High pressure is in control over the Great Lakes region, giving us a beautiful sunrise Friday morning and clear skies that will last all day. Highs Friday will be around 70 degrees with a NNW wind at 5-15mph.
Mostly clear skies and light NW winds continue overnight, letting us cool down into the 40s.
We'll start Saturday with some sun and some clouds, but expect cloud cover to increase throughout the day. By mid-afternoon, we'll start to see some showers pop up as a low pressure system approaches. Especially as we head overnight into Sunday, expect rain to move through and possible thunderstorms, mainly in the L.P.
We keep the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through Monday, but return to dry, sunny weather Tuesday.
