A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter from Air Station Traverse City will be repaired after an emergency landing Tuesday.
The helicopter was experiencing a mechanical problem around 11:30 a.m. when the four-person crew made the decision to land in a field in western Gratiot County.
According the the Gratiot County Sheriff's Office, the crew was returning from a training mission in Lansing. No one was hurt.
A semi was being brought to the site Tuesday evening to return the helicopter to Air Station Traverse City.
