Coast Guard searching for owner of overturned Seadoo in West Grand Traverse Bay
The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended a search for the owner of a Seadoo after it was found in West Grand Traverse Bay with the keys in the ignition and no operator.
The Coast Guard is still trying to locate the owner, but is no longer is searching the bay.
A Good Samaritan discovered the overturned, 8-foot, black and yellow Seadoo near Power Island and reported it to a watch stander at Coast Guard Sector Sault Ste Marie, Michigan at about 6 p.m., Friday.
The Seadoo, registration number MC5241RR, is no longer registered to the correct owner. Any members of the public with information on the owner's whereabouts are requested to contact the 9th District Command Center At 216-902-6117.
