Another clipper system will move across the straits Sunday, bringing another round of snow and keeping cold temperatures around.
We still have a little lake effect with NW winds behind a cold front to the south, and most temperatures are going to remain in the single digits and teens. Winds Sunday will be lighter than the past couple days, only around 5-15mph, generally out of the south. This will still be enough to keep wind chills to -20 degrees, so bundle up and limit any outdoor activity, and keep pets indoors.
The Lake Michigan side will see the snow first Sunday morning, and by lunchtime scattered snow showers will spread across the area. Most will pick up 2-4" throughout Sunday.
Lake effect locations will continue to see more snow Sunday evening and overnight into Monday, looking to pick up another 2-4". Winds will be out of the NW at 10-20mph with gusts around 30mph - causing wind chills to -20 and blowing/drifting snow.
Monday and Tuesday will bring some sunshine and some light lake effect snows with NW winds. Wednesday will bring a little more dry weather, and although the end of the week we'll see the return of snow showers, temperatures will be up into the teens and twenties.
