Cold weekend. Not as cold as Thursday night when we broke a long list of records, but colder than normal for the first weekend in March. Typically we would see highs in the low to middle 30s. Not this weekend!
Highs Saturday will range from 5 to 20 degrees across northern Michigan...and it will be about the same on Sunday. Overnight lows will be between 5 to 10 below zero.
Wind will gust over 20 miles per hour at times on Saturday. Normally you wouldn't notice it, but any wind will make the wind chill temperature fall close to zero.
Snow showers will move thru. Two bands. One Friday night into Saturday morning...maybe a couple of inches of snow will fall then. The second band will be Saturday evening...it will create a little heavier snow, but most of it will move across the southern half of the Lower Peninsula.
Toward the end of next week it will warm up a little...Thursday and Friday we will see highs into the low 30s in some neighborhoods.
