Corrections officer placed on leave after assaulting co-worker
A Mason County Corrections Officer has been placed on administrative leave after allegedly assaulting a fellow corrections officer.
The incident dates back to October 21 at the Mason County Jail.
According to the Mason County Sheriff, a warrant for simple assault has been issued for the officer.
The Michigan Sheriff's Association Missions Team was called into the investigate the assault and turned the results over to the Prosecutor's Office.
The officer has been placed on administrative leave.
