A Grand Traverse County business is damaged after an early morning fire Thursday.
Crews were called to Great Lakes Trim near Bates Road and M-72 in Williamsburg around 5:42 a.m.
According to the Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department, there was heavy black smoke exiting three sides of the building. Crews found the fire in the manufacturing portion of the building.
The fire was put out within 40 minutes.
Since the business works with plastics, fire fighters used specialized equipment to help breathe.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
