LEELANAU COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU)-- A Mini Cooper was removed from West Grand Traverse Bay.

It happened Monday around 3:15 p.m.

The vehicle's owner tells us he parked the Mini Cooper in Apache Trout Grill's parking lot. The owner walked into the restaurant, looked around and then saw his vehicle in the water.

The owner, a 23-year-old man from Indiana, tells us he thinks the parking brake wasn't locked in enough.

No one was in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
