Dept. of Transportation releases 2014 road repair projects list

The Michigan Department of Transportation has released the 2014 list of road repair projects statewide.
The free map called "Paving the Way" is updated each year and is intended to help drivers locate major projects on bridges and roads.
Fourteen projects take place in northern Michigan.
Those areas include:
-I-75: Replace culvert .7 miles north of Mackinac/Chippewa county line. This area will be closed and detoured from May to August.
-I-75: Resurface, deck patching and rail repair on Old M-108 bridge in Emmet County. Lane closures should be expected from September to October.
-US-23: Resurface 3.3 miles from north of Forest Avenue to south of State Park Road in Presque Isle County. Lane closures should be expected from June to July.
-US-31: Resurface 1.4 miles from US-131 to Lake Street including Mitchell St. bridge work in Emmet County. Lane closures should be expected from February to June.
-M-22: Reconstruct 5 miles from Omena to Northport in Leelanau County, including culvert replacement. Lane closure should be expected from June to October.
M-32: Repair and paint Jordan River bridge in Charlevoix County. Should last from June to August.
M-75: Resurface 4.2 miles from Boyne Falls to east of Boyne City in Charlevoix County. Lane closures should be expected from July to August.
-I-75: Resurface 4.9 miles from Sturgeon Valley Road to north of Cheboygan/Otsego county line. Lane closures should be expected from September to October.
-I-75: Repairs to the Sturgeon River Bridge in Cheboygan County. Lane closures should be expected from July to September.
-M-22: Replace Platte River bridge in Benzie County. Repairs should last from March to October.
-M-72: Resurface 0.6 miles from M-22 to Old Morgan Trail. Lane closures expected from September to October.
-Old US-131: Reconstruct 2.9 miles from Boon Road to US-131 in Wexford County. Detours and lane closures are expected from July to September.
-US-127: Reconstruct and resurface 3.8 miles north from Muskegon River bridge in Roscommon County. Rest area demolition will also take place. Lane closures are expected from July to September.
-US-23: Resurface 5.8 miles from Iosco/Arenac county line to Rhuel Road. Lane closures expected from May to June.
-US-23: Reconstruct and resurface 6.8 miles from south of Kirkland Road to AuSable River Bridge in Iosco County. Lane closures expected from April to October.
