Deputies looking for missing Alzheimer's patient
The Leelanau County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing Alzheimer's patient.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Walter J. Hines, 85, of Elmwood Township, drove off in his wife's car between 4 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Hines is described as a white male, 5'8" tall weighing approximately 150 pounds with short salt and pepper hair and blue eyes.
Deputies believe is is wearing dark blue flannel pajamas.
Authorities report he is driving a 2009 Honda CR-V with the license plate BVK4413.
Deputies do not know exactly where Hines may be heading, but he may be trying to get to the downtown area of Traverse City, Meijer, Tom's West Bay or the Grand Traverse Mall.
