Deputies search for gas station break-in suspect
LAKE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The Lake County Sheriff is looking for a suspect in an early morning break-in.
Just after midnight Wednesday, someone broke into the Big Star E-Z Mart gas station in Baldwin.
Deputies said the person used a slender object, possibly a tire iron to break the glass on the front door.
A carton of cigarettes was stolen.
The suspect is about six foot tall and wore a black hoodie with a light shirt underneath, blue jeans and black boots.
According to deputies, the person's face was covered with a mask and hands were covered with what looked like white socks.
The suspect fled in a dark-colored late 90s or early 2000s Ford F150 pickup truck with a toolbox in the bed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lake County Sheriff's Detective Harold Nichols at (231) 745-2712.
