Detroit man facing charges in Cheboygan County for sex crimes

A 53-year-old, who lives in Detroit, is being charged with six counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct in Cheboygan County, which is the most severe CSC charge.
According to the Michigan State Police, William McKenzie is accused of assaulting a minor under the age of 13 on multiple occasions from 1997-2000.
The police say he is also believed to have assaulted another minor in Presque Isle County in 1995.
McKenzie was arrested on Aug. 11. This case has been under investigation since the victim came forward on July 2012.
A fugitive team from the Michigan State Police, arrested McKenzie in the Detroit area. McKenzie was then brought back to Cheboygan County.

McKenzie's next court date is scheduled fro Aug. 25.
