For many residents who live off Sparling Road, this is the sixth time they have experienced this kind of vandalism. The Grand Traverse County Sheriffâ??s Office says it got a call at 3 a.m. Sunday from residents complaining of hearing yelling outside their homes.Residents woke up and saw several mailboxes that were either dented or completely off their post.â??One year we got ours destroyed and I found out who they were and state police came and wanted to know if we wanted to prosecute,â?? says Paradise Township Resident, Terry Weber. â??I said no, make them replace all the posts and all the mailboxes and thatâ??s what the kids had to do.â??In the future, Weber says he will not be spending a lot of money on a nice mailbox. The Sheriffâ??s Department says so far, they donâ??t have any leads in the case.
