DPS uncover stolen property during traffic stop

The stolen items were valued between $3 thousand and $5 thousand.

Department of Public Safety officers in Big Rapids discovered stolen items during a routine traffic stop on Monday afternoon.

Officers found air soft guns, televisions, a laptop and other electronics. The items were valued between $3 thousand and $5 thousand.

Two 19-year-old men from Baldwin and a 20-year-old man from Kentwood were arrested and charged with Felony Possession of stolen property.

Officers say they stole the items between 10 p.m. Sunday and 3 a.m. Monday from one Meijer location and two Wal-Mart locations in multiple counties.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
