Multiple shots were fired into a Rogers City home around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the Rogers City Police Department, they were called to the home on St. Clair St. on reports of a drive-by shooting.

Authorities say the rounds were bird shots, small pellets in a shot-gun casing used for bird hunting.

The shots fired woke the neighbors up, but didnâ??t seem to alarm anyone in the neighborhood.

â??I thought it was firecrackers,â?? said long time resident of St. Clair St. Vallerie Finch. â??I thought there's just no possible way that is a gun being shot in the middle of my road. So I just went back to sleep and went back to work the next day.â??

After the first rounds were fired the suspicious and unidentified vehicle pulled up to the house again and opened fire.

The home was occupied at the time of the shooting, police report, but no one was injured.

â??I still feel safe here,â?? said Finch. â??We have a pretty strong community on this block and i think weâ??re all going to be fine.â??

While police report the shooting happened around 2 a.m., it was not reported until 7 a.m.

No warrants involving this incident have been issued, but the incident remains under investigation.

Police are not releasing any further information at this time.
