The 35-year-old Traverse City man was arrested for fleeing and eluding and driving without a license.

Deputies cornered a Traverse City driver in a strip mall parking lot Tuesday after they say he refused to stop for them.

According to the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department, a deputy tried to stop a black Audi sedan with no license plate on US-31 South near Market Place Circle.

They say the man kept going, driving north to 14th Street and down several side streets, before heading south on Veterans Drive and west on South Airport Road.

The man turned into the Crossing Circle shopping area. Deputies blocked his path in front PetSmart and Home Depot. They say he hit the patrol vehicle slightly, and was then arrested.
