Driver pushes vehicle over embankment in road rage incident

A Lake County man is behind bars, charged with a road rage crash that sent another vehicle over an embankment in Wexford County.

It happened Monday around 10 p.m. on Cobb near Carmel Street in Cadillac.

Police say 63-year-old Terry Davenport from Luther repeatedly hit another vehicle with his car until it went off the road.

The vehicle was extensively damaged in the crash. The victims, a 31-year-old Cadillac man and a 21-year-old Cadillac woman were not hurt in the crash.

Police say the 21-year-old woman and Davenport knew each other prior to the incident. The investigation revealed the woman was injured earlier while attempting to get out of Davenport's car.

Davenport was charged Monday with two counts of aggravated assault and driving without a license.
