Drugs and drug paraphernalia found during search
The Traverse Narcotics Team and the Missaukee County Sheriff's Office found marijuana, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia during the search of a Lake City home.
The search took place at 116 N. Canal Street Wednesday evening.
TNT began the investigation after receiving information from several sources that illegal drugs were being used and sold from the home.
Investigators found numerous chemical components and paraphernalia used in the manufacturing of meth inside the home. Detectives also seized marijuana and prescription drugs. Officials say items found scattered throughout the home indicated heavy drug use by residents.
While executing the warrant, three adults and one child were inside the home. No arrests have been made but TNT is seeking warrants pending a review by the Missaukee County Prosecutor's Office.
The Traverse Narcotics Team is a multijurisdictional task force covering eight counties and includes detectives from the Wexford, Osceola, Missaukee, Leelanau, Grand Traverse, Antrim and Kalkaska County Sheriff's Offices. The Traverse City Police Department, Elk Rapids Police Department and the Michigan State Police are also involved in the task force.
Anyone with information on illegal drug activity is asked to call the TNT drug tip line at 231-338-0868.
