      Farwell man found guilty for sexual conduct with juvenile females

      After a five day jury trial, Darin Michael Champine is found guilty Monday on 11 counts of criminal sexual conduct charges in Clare County.

      After a five day jury trial, Darin Michael Champine is found guilty Monday on 11 counts of criminal sexual conduct charges in Clare County.

      Champine was arrested in March 22, 2013 when a school liasion officer in Farwell tipped off authorities to a potential child porn distribution.

      The investigation found that Champine and another woman were inloved with two female victims under the age of 16.

      Counts one and two of second degree criminal sexual conduct, counts three-five of gross indecency between male and female, counts six-eight children-accosting for immoral purpose, and counts nine-11 of aggravated indecency exposure.

      For all charges, Champine could spend up to 26 years behind bars.

      He was also ordered to pay the standard fines, costs, and restitution to the victims.
