      Father pleas 'no contest' to child abuse of Cadillac baby

      The father who was charged with injuring his 7-week-old baby pleaded "no contest" on Friday to second degree child abuse and his first degree child abuse count was dismissed.

      The father charged with injuring his 7-week-old baby pleaded "no contest" on Friday to second degree child abuse and his first degree child abuse count was dismissed.

      Robert Endelmann was arrested in April for the alleged abuse of his baby causing a head injury. The infant was suffering from multiple skull fractures and a fracture to her vertebrae.

      The infant was released and is in special foster care.

      His no contest plea is not a guilty plea but treated as one at sentencing. Endelmann's sentencing date is scheduled for Aug. 25.
