WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- A fire destroyed a motel and sent three people to the hospital in Wexford County.
The fire started just after 4 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Green Mill Motel in Cedar Creek Township just outside of Manton.
The state fire marshal started an investigation into the cause of the fire Wednesday afternoon. We are told by the fire chief that the fire has been determined not to be arson or intentional.
The Cedar Creek fire chief says when they arrived on scene they found three people laying in the grass. A woman and two children had burns and were airlifted to a hospital Grand Rapids. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The fire chief believes the fire started in room near the motel office. The gas to the motel has been shut off. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

Earlier this month at the same motel, there was a child abuse investigation.
A Manton couple has been charged with second degree child abuse. The manager of the motel says people staying at the motel found a little girl wandering around outside. When authorities were called they said they found Brandon and Acacia Wright in their room with suspected narcotics and syringes.
