Three homes, a garage and one car were destroyed by fire Saturday in Chippewa County.
Fire crews believe people burning debris near one of the homes is to blame.
Firefighters were called to a mobile home in Kinross Township shortly before 2 p.m.
Once crews arrived on scene they found two mobile homes along with a garage and one car was on fire.
A third mobile home nearby caught fire in the back half.
A firefighter was taken to War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie where he was treated and released for dehydration and heat exhaustion.
Firefighters say the fires could have been prevented by checking the Michigan DNR website and seeing there was a burn ban for all of northern Michigan.
