First 80s of the spring have sprung
Tue, 07 May 2013 13:10:16 GMT —
A couple of spots hit the 80F mark for the first time this spring season Monday with another fantastic day on tap Tuesday in the weather department.
The warmest temperatures Monday came from Grayling and Wellston where the temperature shot up to 82F Monday afternoon. Other spots that reached the 80F mark included Leota, Baldwin, Atlanta, and Manton in Wexford County.
High pressure will slowly drift across the area through Wednesday precluding any chances for rain until at the very earliest late Wednesday and even then only a brief shower is possible inland along the US-131 corridor in the Lower Peninsula. High temperatures will range from the low-60's right along the Great Lakes shoreline to mid/upper-70's inland.
A strong cold front upstream will drop in Saturday with temperatures falling into the 50's to start the weekend, with many areas by Sunday struggling out of the 40's.
