Our first weekend of July will live up to expectations with a good dose of sunshine and warm/humid conditions.
There is a very minimal chance for any rain until perhaps later Sunday along lake breezes and a very weak cold front dropping in when a few showers or thunderstorms may pop up then, but Friday and Saturday will remain dry and warm.
Winds much of this weekend will be from the southwest pumping in the warmth and also raising the humidity. Temperatures along Lake Michigan will be a little cooler right along the lakeshore as winds will roll in right off the lake. If you are heading to the beaches on Lake Michigan in particular this weekend, keep in mind that the southwest wind will possibly lead to a chop on the water along with the potential for rip currents.
It remains close to 80F into next week with a chance for thunderstorms each day Monday through Wednesday. That's not a bad thing, a lot of places are running very dry so far this summer and could use some rain.
