Former little league treasurer sentenced for embezzlement
EMMET COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The former treasurer for the Petoskey Little League, who pleaded guilty to embezzlement, was sentenced this morning in Emmet County.
Julie Gray, 51, was arrested in October 2017 after Michigan State Troopers say she embezzled more than $82,000 from the little league.
Gray pleaded guilty to the charge of embezzling $1,000 or more but less than $20,000 in December.
Gray was sentenced to 6 months in jail, 3 years of probation and 500 hours of community service.
Gray has already paid back the money she stole.
Gray was the treasurer of the Petoskey Little League from July 2011 until July 2017.
