Friends and family get sneak peek at new Lucky's Market
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mi (WPBN/WGTU) -- Friends and family of Lucky's Market in Traverse City got a sneak peek at the new grocery store Monday night.
Dozens packed inside for a night of music, free samples and fun.
Folks got to try the market's specialty entrees, juices, cheese and bacon.
The chain is known for its wide selection of produce, organic and specialty foods.
Lucky's also has a Sip N'Stroll program.
For 2 dollars, you can enjoy a glass of beer while you shop. Wine is 3 dollars.
The store's director says Lucky's is all about making healthy food attainable and having fun.
"I like to say it's funky, fun and fun," Jim Mick said. "A different kind of grocery store, you get a theatrical experience when you're here.... the culture of Lucky's is just really fun people enjoying great food."
There will be a "bacon cutting" grand opening ceremony on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
