We'll see a gorgeous day Sunday, but changes come Monday.
Sunday will be a great day to get errands done, be outdoors for yard work or gardening, or head to the BBQ at Northwestern Michigan College. There will be a few mid and upper 60s in the E. U.P., but a lot of 70s into the low 80s in the L.P. Winds will be lighter at about 5-10mph out of the SE. Most will be dry with mostly sunny skies, but there may be a pop-up shower inland and for the southern counties later in the day.
Heading into the work week things change due to low pressure moving into the plains. We'll see scattered showers move in late night Sunday/early Monday morning for the E. U.P. and you might hear a rumble of thunder in there as well. Most will be dry during Monday morning's commute, but rain will be passing through.
Rain and thunderstorms are likely Monday through Wednesday this upcoming week, with scattered showers into Thursday also.
As of right now, the Storm Prediction Center has areas of the Central Lower down towards Lansing in a slight risk for severe weather - with high winds and larger hail being the main threats Monday afternoon. We'll continue to keep you updated on this situation.
