Governor Rick Snyder is running for re-election.
Snyder and his supporters walked into the Secretary of State's Office in Lansing Thursday with boxes containing 26,000 signatures in support of his re-election bid.
The governor highlighted Michigan's low unemployent rate, and said he is fired up about seeking another term in office.
"I'm proud to have support from every county in the state as I file for re-election," he said. "It has been an honor to lead Michigan's comeback and I look forward to ensuring our state's economic prosperity for the next four years".
Snyder is in his first term.
Election day is November 4, 2014.
