Grand Traverse County law enforcement launch public crime mapping site
Law enforcement in Grand Traverse County is now using a website to help make more crime information to the public.
The website, called Crime Mapping, is used nationally by more than 60 agencies in Michigan.
The Traverse City Police Department and the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office are now part of the law enforcement agencies that use the website.
Only class one felonies will be listed, which would include assaults, vandalism, fraud, burglaries, drugs and weapons violations.
