Quite the change is taking place in our weather over the course of a week with last Tuesday's rain and upper-50's highs being replaced with heat/humidity by next Tuesday with thunderstorms possible.
The weekend is shaping up to be a spectacular one in terms of the weather. High pressure will remain in place this weekend with south-southwest winds Friday into the weekend leading to lots of sunshine with no chance for any rain locally. Highs Friday will be in the 70's with many areas close to 80F Saturday and into the low-80's by Sunday.
The heat and also the humidity will continue to rise early next week with 80's to start next week. In fact, highs well into the 80's or perhaps a lone 90F are possible by Tuesday with dewpoint readings getting well into the 60's to near 70F by Tuesday. That sets up a sticky airmass with it actually feeling hot/humid (a rarity this summer) early next week.
A cold front approaches Tuesday into Wednesday bringing with it a round of thunderstorms.
