Quite the change in weather today with a noticeable drop in humidity and temperatures running a good 15-20 degrees cooler Wednesday.
A cold front rolled through Northern Michigan later Tuesday with a few storms firing up along that boundary. Drummond Island picked up nearly 2" of rain with an inch noted at Levering in Emmet County. There was also penny size hail reported on Beaver Island in Northern Lake Michigan.
All of that is long gone and for the next couple of days it looks to remain dry until some rain returns at the very earliest Friday evening.
Highs Wednesday will average out right around 70F with a few places stuck in the upper-60's all day long. North winds will keep the humidity down and any early day clouds will break up with increasing sunshine into the afternoon hours. Winds will be brisk and straight out of the north Wednesday. Thursday and most of Friday will follow suit with temperatures back into the low/mid-70's along with a nice showing of late July sunshine.
The weekend is looking unsettled with chances for some rain and a few thunderstorms. Temperatures this weekend will be in the 70's.
