Charlevoix Coast Guard are going underway to rescue stranded boaters on Lake Michigan.

Two men in northern Michigan were rescued Tuesday afternoon, after their sailboat capsized on Lake Michigan.

Charlevoix Coast Guard and Torch Lake Fire and Rescue crews responded to a distress call they received around 1 p.m. involving a capsized boat near Michigan Trail in Kewadin Township.

Heavy winds and waves overturned the small sail boat one quarter-mile off the shore.

The men on the boat were pulled out of the water by people on another boat with out injury.

Emergency Crews from Torch Lake Fire and Rescue recovered the boat with no major damage damage.
